Fingerprint Friday and my baby turns 18...

I am joining in this wonderful idea from Pampering Becki
There is a song by Steven Curtis Chapman that says:

I can see the fingerprints of God
When I look at you I can see the fingerprints of God And I know its true You're a masterpiece That all creation quietly applauds And you're covered with the fingerprints of God

I took this photo this evening - isn't she beautiful!
Our darling baby the glamour girl turned 18 today - she is our youngest and this has been a really reflective day for me. It is so hard when your baby isn't a baby anymore, according to the laws of the land anyway.... I still see her as the child she once was, she still holds the same sweetness and innocence. Not innocence in the conventional way, but the kind that looks at the world with wonder and awe, her heart is untarnished by the kind of things that can make us cynical and untrusting. The way she looks up to her older siblings fills my heart, she adores them unconditionally, and nothing they can, or ever will do, will change that..
The glamour girl is the kind of person that would literally give you the shirt of her back, if you wanted it, or just because it looks better on you.. and she would give you her last penny if she saw a need. She is not impressed by riches or power, everyone is the same in her eyes and she makes everyone she meets feel like they are the most important person in the world. And her laugh.... it is the stuff of legends. In recent years we moved her to a new school, she did not want to leave her old one as she was a bit shy so she was finding it hard to get to know people at her new school.. until they heard her laugh..... then she became known as the girl with the coolest laugh ever, kids even starting trying to copy it - and that is what it is - the best laugh you have ever heard - I honestly think that when my time here on earth is done, and I go to heaven, and I hear God laugh, I will know where the glamour girl got hers from,
From her heavenly Father, I think she has the Lord's laugh.... Its beautiful, and warm, and full of life, and hearing it makes you feel good, even when you feel bad. It can heal what ails you, and it comforts you when are lonely, and it is the most beautiful contagious laugh ever!

I love you my darling and I see in you the finger prints of God, in everything you do - you are his daughter, our daughter and everyones friend,
Dad and I thank God so much that we got to be your parents
you are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I love you infinity. Mummyxoxox
Hugs
Jen

sweet post, Jen! My baby turns 18 this next year, too. Amazing. I love the 'fingerprint of God' idea. It's wonderful to see His 'touch' on our children.
