..just a few minutes to say hello!

Hi my lovely ladies!

How I have missed you all, I am still buried under my pile of fabric, fur and embroidery!
I hope to have it all done by Monday - and the last of the sox will be on their way!

I just had to share this with you,
I was reading the news tonight on our local station's online site and was thrilled, wowed and completely inspired to read that a fellow Aussie quilter Robyn 'Bobby' Melia,
sold a quilt she made out her grandmothers vintage scraps for $70,000!!!!
You can read all about the sale here!

and you can find more about the quilt on her blog which is here:

Here is a little sneaky peaky of it - I don't know Bobby but I hope she doesn't mind me posting this - please go to her blog to read the story and see more photos!!

A.MA.ZING

(this photo is borrowed from Bobby's blog)
.....

I also wanted to show you the Charlie Bear I bought for The Glamour Girl for Christmas -
how cute is he !!!

.....

And the lovely Amy from Giggleberrys sent me a photo of their sox all hanging up, this lovely set she chose has inspired many people to buy the same one - they are hanging in homes in Germany, Switzerland, and Luxembourg, as well as many homes in the USA!!

Now it's back to work for me!!!!
gotta stuff and line all these!

But before I go I had to show you The Songstress's new baby girl...
This is Bella - naaawwww!!!

and just a couple of things that I have been working on...
A tree skirt I made to go with the "Giggleberrys" set, (that's what I call it!) On it's way to Switzerland

And a quick pic of a set that are now hanging in a home in Shafeena in Abu Dhabi !!
Check out her blog! She has the cutest header I have ever seen!
She loves them!!

Okay, back to the grind for me!!

I have shared with you how much I am enjoying having my sister Sue join me in my Deekie Belle Design adventures.

Sue has been creating some beautiful stockings of her own,
here are her two latest designs,
beautiful shimmery fabrics teamed with shabby beads and gorgeous vintage velvet roses. She has continued them wit a velvet ribbon around the foot and a garland of beads for that real christmas feel, topped with a lovely rusty bell,
....I just want to keep these for myself :)!

Aren't they just beautiful!

I have been working really hard again this week and since last Friday I finished 27 Jingle sox!! Six and a half orders, Yay!
Here is a set that I did for one of my oldest friends, she lives in Canberra now with her family, but her husbands career has taken her all over the world, she has lived in London, Paris and Mexico...
I hope she loves them!

And here is a couple more sets that are on thier way to the USA,
I get a bit sad when it comes to the end of the road for some of my fabrics, they are like my babies, and when they are discontinued and you just can't get then any more it is sometimes very hard to accept! The green 'funky snowmen' second from left, that has always been my absolute best seller...... It is what the first ever Jingle Sox was made with :)!!
but I there is no more left of it ....and I have searched the world over LOL!
Goodbye old friend, you always made me smile with your little cheeky faces and your silly hats!! ;)

I also wanted to show you the new Michael Miller "Princess Collection" fabric (sans crowns which I do have but will show you later when I take pics of it!)

Isn't it divine!!!

It's just lovely, and I have two of these ready to ship and available in my shop!

Hope you are all well, back soon with more!

And the fruitcake winner is......

Thank you to everyone who entered my Moda Fruitcake Fatquarter Giveaway!
I used the random number generator to draw the winner!
.... then I learned how to take a screen shot!
Congratulations to
Bev C. from Kainga Happenings
who left comment number 3!

This will be on it's way to you as soon as I get your address ;)!

and speaking of 'the' Fruitcake....
The fruit for my parent's in law's 50th Wedding Anniversary cake has been soaking for 5 days,
...I just keep adding more brandy

I have been so busy making Jingle Sox that I haven't had much time for anything else!
Our darling son, The Rock Star came and helped me out,
He made the cake for me, bless his heart...

(should have put an apron on him, he got covered in it ;)! )

He did a beautiful job!

9 hours later....

Time to poke some holes in it and add more brandy,
then wrap it nice and tight till it's time to be decorated!

Back tomorrow with some lovely new sox!
Hugs,

Anyone else having trouble with Etsy?!!

Oh dear!

It is my busiest time of year and my etsy shop is busier than it has ever been!

But it seems that everyone is on etsy!!

I have spent the last two days clicking, and re-clicking, refreshing and stressing!

I did have a little virus and thought it was, but my son-in-law fixed that for me tonight and it's still happening!

I still can't seem to stay on etsy!

is anyone having the same problem?

I am trying to send photos, and list items and send messages and keep being disconnected!

Up pops a message saying
"The website is too busy to show the webpage"

Well that is wonderful for etsy,
but no good for me, or my sweet customers!
If you are trying to order, or waiting for a response, please be patient
I will keep clicking till I get to you!!
And don't forget to enter my fabric giveaway :)
here is the Fruitcakey goodnessssss!!

..........................................
And here is a pic of the Bunny from the weekend !
Isn't she divine.......

I got her one of these for Christmas,
in teeny tiny size!
Aren't they adorable!!
I would show you where it came from but
... but i can't get on Etsy :) !

Back soon with more!

...is bigger really better?

Yesterday I designed and made this GIANT Seuss style Jingle Sox for our grandbug,
.....he just loves it!

I used Riley Blake "Colourful Christmas" fabrics,
teamed with some oober-cute lime green dots and giant Ric-Rac !

... I just love the seuss-y toe!

hehehe, see, it's just huge, :)!!
I am hoping to get some of my patterns organised for distribution soon,
and this will be one of them!
..........................
Here's another big set on their way to the States...
I designed a pieced tree skirt that goes with it too, will get a pic of that up soon...
....................................................................
Mr Deekie Belle and I are making a 50th Wedding Annivery cake for his parents,
but first we need to soak the fruit in some brandy for a couple of days!

Will be back tomorrow for a fabric giveaway,

Such a bad blogger !

Again I ask for your forgiveness for my lack of posting :o)!
It's been a busy few weeks of orders !
Sometimes I feel like the days are slipping by so fast that I don't have time to scratch...

but never too busy for my little grand-bug,
...what do you think of his new haircut!
Mr Deekie Belle and I call it his 'crewcut'

He makes me so happy this little fella,
I just see his face and my heart leaps with joy!

He was fascinated with the Lightscoop on my camera!

Here is a set of Jingle Sox on their way to the England!!

Off to my Mum's Best friend,

Mum and Dad's wedding

Anne and Mum have been friends for over 50 years!

Anne was my Mum's bridesmaid..

And here is the bridal party,

Mum and Dad, with Dad's best man Ron, Grandpa (Mum's dad) and Anne, with girls again.

Mum and Dad were married in the in The Royal Chapel of St Peter Ad Vincula
in Tower of London..

What a beautiful setting for a wedding!

My beautiful Mum!

With all the wedding guests...

And this is one of my favorite photo's, Dad and Mum cutting their cake..

I love mum's dress, it is so beautiful!! .. and she made it herself!
