Monday madness ...and absolute Joy ! (very long post!)

Hello my lovelies!!
Hope you are all well and had a wonderful weekend!
Things here have been busy as always!
I can't believe that another weekend has come and gone...
sometimes I feel like one day just slips into the next!
Do you ever feel like that :o)!

I spent alot of time working on the weekend, lots of orders, which is good!!
I finished this Double Minky blankie for a sweet customer called Erica. It's for her little girl Ava who is just adorable!
Erica and her family live here in Perth so hubby delivered it for me on Saturday, she is thrilled with it!

Here is a photo I snaffled of Ava from her mama's facebook page. ..cheeky I am :o)!

Ooooohhh!!!! isn't she gorgeous!!!!

..............................

Finished some other embroideries, all to go on cushions and blankies...

.............................

Nearly finished Barb's Jingle Sox so here is a sneakie-peakie!Barb and Garry will be heading off on their amazing advernturous R-Ving lifestyle in the US soon, I am so excited for them!!!

I hope these Jingle Sox will make up for no Christmas tree!

Make sure you head on over to their blog so you can join in on the fun, and see what they get up too!!

...........................

And I finished Amy's aprons!

(please excuse the quick snap but I need to get them on their way!)

Amy is the designer and owner of Giggleberry Creations,

She is amazing and is definately the " Queen of Bunting " .

She makes everything prettier with her stylish flowing flags, I love them!!

I want some for my Deekie Belle Designs and Jingle Sox!

Amy is doing her first fair soon so I have done some embroidery for her and made some aprons,

but look at this amazing bunting!!

Aint she a talented lady !!!

(I made that little embroidery... just thought I would throw that in amongst all the amazingness of Amy :o)!)
ooh!! there it is again!

I do love her logo!! and I am so happy with the way the embroidery turned out!!

So if you know of anyone who wants their logo embroidered, let me know,

and if they want bunting to show it off with - make sure you give Amy a holler!

......................................................................

On the family front,
Mr Deekie Belle had the past 6 days off and it was soooooo lovely to have him home!
I enjoyed Lots of cuddles and snuggles, he cleaned for me and did washing, while I was working, and he even cooked dinner -
Oh my, I love that man!!
The Girls had a friend's 21st on Saturday night so Angel's hubby babysat Khye and Hunny so Angel could go and enjoy a night out, I snapped this when she came came over to pick up Alora...

Aren't they beautiful! ......................

And now for the exciting news!!!!

You all know our darling Danneeka

here she is at a Telethon appearance dancing and singing with Doopa Dog

(Up until she moved to Perth before John's and her wedding, she was the 'Doopa Girl' for Golden West Network, in the south west of WA. )

Well, she won't be doing much of that anymore,

.....unless maybe it's to the wiggles!!

Here is their little gift from God,

We call him/her Beanie (coz she/he looks like a bean!)

Isn't he/she beautiful!

Due February 6th, 2011.

Another grandbaby to snuggle!

It doesn't get better than that!

Back soon with much more!

Love and hugs to you all!

Getting ready for Hunny...

Angel and Ben's little girl will be here in a few weeks so we are all getting very excited.
Angel has been in "nesting" mode so Mr Deekie Belle and I have been helping them get the nursery ready.
This time around, with only one income they have decided to re-purpose and not to purchase new things.
Doug painted the room with Angel while I sewed up a storm (between Jingle Sox orders!!)
Khye-bug is still in his cot so we put together and bought them a cot for Hunny, nice and new but everything else was from goodwill stores or secondhand from friends....
a little paint and a bit of Angel's flair and here we have it!
I had this old shabby chic footstool, took off the cover and was left with this...

Made a nice new, pretty cover - I hope Hunny loves it!

Khye loves it LoL!! ;)

They were given this old change table, it was all chipped and stuff so Angel and Ben sanded it back and painted it, added some flourishes, and I made a lovely ruffled skirt to it - I think it looks beautiful!
It still needs a new change mat, that might help a bit ;)!

Some lace curtaining to cover the ugly blue vertical blinds. A few little nic nacs, and of course I bought a Mirror for her room. (you know me, I love mirrors!)

I think it is coming along nicely....

Back soon!

Hugs, jen xo

busy weekend..

Mr Deekie Belle and I took the dogs on a lovely 2km bushwalk on Sunday afternoon.
Alora was sick in bed all weekend with a terrible sinus infection poor darling, I spent most of the weekend looking after her and the rest sewing madly so it was nice to have a couple of hours to just enjoy the afternoon with my darling...

As anyone who reads my blog regularly knows, I am a terrible photographer, so I got in a bit of practice, I love the Aussie bush, it can be so dramatic and haunting... I would love to be able to capture it's beauty the way others do...

As we strolled towards home the sky changed colour and I got this nice shot...

Not sure if I mentioned it before but I had a little trouble with two parcels going missing a couple of months back - Australia post still hasn't been able to track them down but I have remade them and they will be off to my gorgeous, very patient clients this week.

One of this things that I find difficult living in Australia is not being able to get my hands on every fabric and ribbon I need at the drop of a hat! My Christmas fabrics and ribbons were very much depleted after my busy 2009 season so had been waiting on some to arrive from the States to finish these orders off...

It's funny really, waiting on fabrics from the US, to make Jingle sox here in Oz, to send back to the US :o)!

Here's my weekend fun!

Two custom orders here, one funky Christmas styles and one sweet pastels

Riley Blake pastels, and glittery organza..

I girly love bows!

sparkly organza... so pretty!

Gorgeous 'funky gift' fabric, have lots of this in stock now!

Love this fabric line up, still waiting on ribbon for bows on the girl's ones - should be here this week - yay! My hubby's fav is the one on the right, I am quite low and that fabric and it is discontinued so if you want it in your Jingle Sox please be quick ;)!
More of this fabric on it's way too! Cute pink snowmen too - yum! I love these colors!

I will draw the Redwork wall hang on Friday so please don't forget to leave a comment to be in the draw, sorry for the delay, been a busy little bee! Back soon with more!

Hugs, Jen xo

... some (very belated) Christmas photos...

It was my birthday the other day and I got thoroughly spoilt - one of my favorite things from Hubby and the kids was a huge array of embroidery cottons - (yes!, more embroidery cottons!)
I got quite a few more pretty things so will post them soon!

A while ago I bought this amazing thread rack from Lynne at Cockburn Sewing Centre, isn't it fantastic!!!!! It was a shop fitting that they no longer needed, it is huge so hubby cut it down and fit one piece in here, above my embroidery machine.. Need more threads as you can see :)!!
but I wonder where I will put the rest of the rack........

I made these for my adorable nieces, I hope they like them!

And here are some pics of Christmas eve, we had our family get together on Christmas eve becasue darling hubby had to workd on Christmas day - noice! (not!)
Oh well, I guess someone has to do it....
..........................
Our Little Bug.....
Isn't he beautiful!! Look at that face!! Honestly I could watch him all day.... he is so funny, and his personality is really starting to come through, he's a bit of a nutter though, a comedian, like his Uncle the rock star!! Here he's waiting for Presents, (Rock star can't get enough of him either, they are such good mates, Bug adores him! )
The songstress and the sports fan were so very tired from their trip up to Perth, and the glamour cirl is chillaxing (her word!) waiting to be lavished with presents :)!!

Pressies that were too big to fit under the tree!

Everyone getting impatient waiting for Dad to get home!
(no room in the lounge, too many pressies, they were stuffed everywhere!)

The last few photos are of the Bug getting his Elmo Live from Angel and Ben - he was completely enthralled with it!!
Look at these guys, aren't they adorable!!
The sweetest little family, ...
and another one on the way - Yayy!
The model is three months pregnant!

It talks and dances and sings, he loves it!
That's all for now, hope you are all well and healthy. Don't forget the Jingle Sox give-away, please comment if you would like to win!!
Hugs

Hope

I have finallys set up some listing in my etsy store to personalise my stockings. I can put any name in any size that a customer wants on the cuff of the stocking or I can make a cute little name tag that attaches to the stocking - what do you think?

I do have other fonts and plenty of embroidery floss colours and can make the lettering as large as the customer likes.

These cute little tags go well on a busy fabric cuff - it is nice to have something a bit different sometimes and this is my different :)!

Hope you are all well, back tomorrow with the giveaway!
Big hugs and God Bless
