Lavender Pillow...

I made a lavender Christmas pillow...

It's a Lavender filled Christmas pillow, 'O Holy Night'

Hope you like it!!

On another note, we are expecting a huge storm to hit us here in Perth tomorrow,
at about 11am Tuesday 28th ...

so please keep us in your prayers,

they are expecting widespread damage, flooding and power outages.

So to all my W.A. blog buddies, stay inside and stay warm and safe!

I hope you all had a blessed Christmas and enjoyed many special moments with your families and friends.

And then I hope you had a fabulous New Year, full of fun and laughs and food and festivities!...

My prayer is that 2011 will be filled with much love and peace for you all.

I wont overload you with Christmas pics but thought you might get a giggle out of these ones...

I try and find fabulous and interesting things online for the kids, things they would never get for themselves... They always look forward to their pressies as they never know what they're gonna get!!

This year I got Steve a set of these!!!

Steven is one of those people who has an incredible God-given gift with music

... he can pick up an instrument, figure it out and then teach himself to play it most times immediately...

he,he,he, but this one is gonna take a while ;)!

Anyone else having trouble with Etsy?!!

Oh dear!

It is my busiest time of year and my etsy shop is busier than it has ever been!

But it seems that everyone is on etsy!!

I have spent the last two days clicking, and re-clicking, refreshing and stressing!

I did have a little virus and thought it was, but my son-in-law fixed that for me tonight and it's still happening!

I still can't seem to stay on etsy!

is anyone having the same problem?

I am trying to send photos, and list items and send messages and keep being disconnected!

Up pops a message saying
"The website is too busy to show the webpage"

Well that is wonderful for etsy,
but no good for me, or my sweet customers!
If you are trying to order, or waiting for a response, please be patient
I will keep clicking till I get to you!!
And don't forget to enter my fabric giveaway :)
here is the Fruitcakey goodnessssss!!

..........................................
And here is a pic of the Bunny from the weekend !
Isn't she divine.......

I got her one of these for Christmas,
in teeny tiny size!
Aren't they adorable!!
I would show you where it came from but
... but i can't get on Etsy :) !

Back soon with more!

Busy, busy, busy .....

My darling hubby had to work all weekend so I buried myself in my studio and designed some sox.
Sometimes I forget how much work they are...
I ironed in 10 metres of interfacing and cut out 96 pattern pieces!!
Whew!!
Then I had to start the sewing !
funky christmas stocking
Here is a little look at some of my new styles...
I just love this blue snowman fabric - it is so whimsical!!
christmas stockingThe floral in the middle is beautiful Ava Rose fabric by Tanya Whelan, This fabric is discontinued but I have stocked up on it coz I love it!

Looking a bit floppy :o)! They still need stuffing and lining so back to work for me!

I am not sure I have ever posted a photo of my machines on my blog before so I snapped this (it never usually looks this tidy!!)
On the left is my Bernina 700D Overlocker. It's a great little overlocker, the cheapest in the Bernina range but it does all that I need it to.
In the middle is my Bernina 930 Record.
This machine is a semi-industrial and was a gift from my lovely mother in law! It is such a workhorse and for a 20 year old sewing machine it is still like brand new.
A real dream machine!
On the right of course is my baby, My Bernina Artista 730 Sewing and Embroidery machine.
This machine does everything!
I usually have it embroidering while I am sewing with my 930 but I do love sewing with it too and I it's great to quilt with it as it came with the 'Bernina Stitch Regulator' - a special attachment foot that regulates your stippling stitches - it makes it sooo easy!
I have a few fancy-schmacy feet for my Bernina's so will do a post on them soon, and show you what they all do!

It has been soooo cold here in Perth so I made Khye a special snuggly minky quilt last night.
I used minky on both sides, with wool batting in the middle and then just quickly embroidered a name patch on it and bound it in Michael Miller's cute vintage look Dick and Jane reading fabric..
Not a great job as I did it in an hour but it will keep him nice and warm... he loves soft snuggly blankies, he strokes the fabrics and rubs them on his face when he is sleeping,
gaaahhh!!, he's so wonderful!

Well, only a week and a half till our grandaughter Hunny is to be born, I wonder if Angel will last that long - she looks like she is ready to pop! We am getting so excited!

Also, some exciting news, Copious, (our son Steve and son-in-law Ben's band) entered the Perth Battle of the Bands and had their heat last weekend.

They won and are now in the semi-finals!!

Here is a couple of shots of my boy rocking the house! Didn't get one of Ben, ...next time!!

(hehe, Steve is 6'1, so you can guess how tall their bass player is!!)

Isn't he handsome!!! (biased mother :)!)

Hope you are having a great week! Back soon!

Hugs, Jen xoxox

Friday night lights....

It's only three weeks till our daughter and son-in-law have grandbaby number 2 and we are getting so excited!
I got this vinyl wall art chandelier for our sweet little 'Hunny' from Etsy, and I think it is perfect !!

close-up! .....oooh, I want a pink bedroom!

...........................................

As promised a photo of the Jingle Sox I was working on in my last post, all finished and ready to send off to sweet Hanna!

Hanna bought a Jingle Sock for her Mother-in-law last year and I was so thrilled when she came back and ordered four more, for hubby, herself and her gorgeous little ones.

Can you see the extra name tag, that's for her Mum-in-law :o)!

I hope you and your sweet family enjoy them for a lifetime lovely girl!

...............................................

Today I have been working very hard organising photos of the fabrics I have available for custom orders.

I have been uploading them to my flickr so that people can easily see what choices are available..

So as well as everything and anything you see on my blog there are loads more fabrics to choose from!

There is funky,

and pretty

Traditional

and vintage

modern

and quirky!

and somewhat exotic!

and loads more here !!!

(Oh my, and so many more to upload... oooh, I am such a fabric-a-holic :) !)

...........................................

I just want to take a moment now to thank everyone for their kind and supportive messages and comments lately.

It has meant more than you know. I am working so hard to make my little company a success and although I get alot of love and support at home, all of the encouragement and kindness I have received in the blogging community has been a huge blessing to me.

I so enjoy you lovely ladies, and I get such a full heart when I read all the ways that God is working and blessing the lives of each of you.

I love hopping online and reading about your families, pouring over your recipes and sewing tips, seeing what you are all doing in (and to!) your homes and sharing your joys and sorrows.

And to all the wonderful ladies who share God's word on here, I love you! You bless my heart every day, I hope you know it!

.................................................................

Now.... It's back to work for me as I have some new orders, :o)!

but before I go, a photo of ♥ Khye ♥ that I took last night.....

This little guy turns me to mush ...

Big hugs to you all and have a wonderful weekend!

Jen xo

...........................................................

PS! My best friend of 33 years had her birthday last week and I should have said this then,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY DARLING CHERIE,

Every year of our friendship has been a treasure to me, you are a treasured gift from the Lord!

You are the wisest woman I have ever met. And your generosity and heart for God astounds me more and more each day. I dare not stand next to you when we are before the Lord, as my meagre little crown will look sad and empty compared to the shining, glorious splendour that the Lord has ready for you.. You, my darling, truly are a women who can be called 'Blessed'

(....even when there is no clean socks !) I love you girl xo!
