Hi my lovely ladies!

How I have missed you all, I am still buried under my pile of fabric, fur and embroidery!
I hope to have it all done by Monday - and the last of the sox will be on their way!

I just had to share this with you,

I was reading the news tonight on our local station's online site and was thrilled, wowed and completely inspired to read that a fellow Aussie quilter Robyn 'Bobby' Melia,

sold a quilt she made out her grandmothers vintage scraps for $70,000!!!!

I also wanted to show you the Charlie Bear I bought for The Glamour Girl for Christmas -
how cute is he !!!

And the lovely Amy from Giggleberrys sent me a photo of their sox all hanging up, this lovely set she chose has inspired many people to buy the same one - they are hanging in homes in Germany, Switzerland, and Luxembourg, as well as many homes in the USA!!

Now it's back to work for me!!!!

Fixed my 'No Reply'

I am learning new bloggy things every day,

Today the lovely Teresa from 'All Thing's Vintage' showed me how to fix up my profile

so when I leave a comment on one of your blogs you can send me a direct reply via email !

Gah! two years of blogging and I didn't know that ;)!

My name is Jenny,

and am a fabric-a-holic...

hmmm.. don't laugh, I really am :)!

Ooooh dear !!!

I was preparing my fur strips for Jingle Sox orders this morning...

I use a really thick, luxurious fur,

when you cut it and the raw edge is exposed it makes a complete mess everywhere!
(you can see a tiny bit of the mess here, but believe me it's like it's snowed in here!)

I have to edge each piece individually so as to be able to work with it.

You know the kind of fur that if you breathe with your mouth open it flies in and sits on the back of your tongue all day no matter how many times you brush your teeth ....

I just zig-zag the edges and then it's lovely, and sooo much easier to work with :)!

I usually dust all my benches with a feather duster when I am finished edging it, then I wipe everything down with a slightly damp cloth to pick up any stray extra bits,

then I vacuum the carpet and get back to sewing...

Today I thought I would be clever and cut straight to the vacuum....

Aaaaggghhh!!

I am an idiot !!!!!!

I vacuumed the keyboard of the laptop!!!

Can you see it,

can you see what I did to the letter 'H' ???

I sucked it up !!!!

It won't go down, it is stuck like that, and I can't fix it!

It does type the letter but you have to press it really hard and I am sure it wont be long before it snaps off!!

I am soooo upset!

I hope it can be fixed!

(it is a fairly new laptop and to make it worse it is hubby's, I have been using it while mine is getting fixed!)

Okay, I am just gonna stare at my lovely new fairy frosts till I feel better.....
still staring......

Friday night lights....

It's only three weeks till our daughter and son-in-law have grandbaby number 2 and we are getting so excited!

I got this vinyl wall art chandelier for our sweet little 'Hunny' from Etsy, and I think it is perfect !!

As promised a photo of the Jingle Sox I was working on in my last post, all finished and ready to send off to sweet Hanna!

Hanna bought a Jingle Sock for her Mother-in-law last year and I was so thrilled when she came back and ordered four more, for hubby, herself and her gorgeous little ones.

Can you see the extra name tag, that's for her Mum-in-law :o)!

I hope you and your sweet family enjoy them for a lifetime lovely girl!

I just want to take a moment now to thank everyone for their kind and supportive messages and comments lately.

It has meant more than you know. I am working so hard to make my little company a success and although I get alot of love and support at home, all of the encouragement and kindness I have received in the blogging community has been a huge blessing to me.

I so enjoy you lovely ladies, and I get such a full heart when I read all the ways that God is working and blessing the lives of each of you.

I love hopping online and reading about your families, pouring over your recipes and sewing tips, seeing what you are all doing in (and to!) your homes and sharing your joys and sorrows.

And to all the wonderful ladies who share God's word on here, I love you! You bless my heart every day, I hope you know it!

You are the wisest woman I have ever met. And your generosity and heart for God astounds me more and more each day. I dare not stand next to you when we are before the Lord, as my meagre little crown will look sad and empty compared to the shining, glorious splendour that the Lord has ready for you.. You, my darling, truly are a women who can be called 'Blessed'

Just a quick post.

Sorry my blog is looking so bleak still, I am working on getting it organised :o)!

I have been sewing my little patootie off so have finished all my orders - yay!
Tonight I will start on Vicki's Sox and then I will be designing some new ones for this Christmas. I have some gorgeous new fabrics to play with so will post pics as I go.

Saturday afternoon quilting and a lovely blog award!

I bought this cars panel a few years ago with the intention of making my gorgeous nephew a quilt, but as happens quite often it got lost amongst my stash fabric. I found it the other day and decided, as Cooper has outgrown cars and is more into Ben 10, to make a play quilt for Khye with it.

It will be just the think to keep the biscuits off the carpet ;)! and here is the new redwork that I started on Friday. I love this little quote from May Ellen Chase and thought it would go great with the design...
Also, I have been honoured with a bloggy award from the gorgeous Donna of Rosebuds and Bluebells.. Thank you so much Donna!

Here are my list of 10 things that make me happy

.... and if you follow Rosebuds and Bluebells, (and you should!) you will see that Donna and I are totally kindred spirits!

1. My family. My hubby, my kids, my parents and my sisters, my nieces and nephews and even my bros-in-law!. I adore them, they are my world... 'nuff said!

2. My Friends. I have been blessed in my life to have some amazing friends. Honestly and truthfully they don't come any better! Or any smarter, my Cherie!! Without their advice and support in my life I know I would crash and burn. I just wish I was wonderful a friend to them as they are to me!

3. My home. It is not grand and fancy, it has a long way to go, but I love, it. and I love, love, love to decorate, fuss and froof it!! Sometimes I will just stand in the doorway of a room, look around and say to myself "I love this room!.... now what else can I do to it ;)"....

4. CANADA!!!! (are you getting it Donna!!!) I emigrated from England to Canada with my family when I was 3 and lived there till I was 11. There is nothing that I don't love about Canada!... The seasons, the snow, the lakes, the autumn leaves, the chipmunks and squirrels that live in your backyard trees, the Rocky mountains, the candy, the Baseball, the history, ....Niagra falls, ...I could keep going on... It has been many years since I was there but it is my childhood home and one day I will take my hubby there and enjoy it all again with him!

5. Sewing and crafting. I love it, I do it every day and all day if I can!! Any day that I don't sew feels like my day has was not complete ;)!

6. Thrift shopping. I love going to thrift shops and rummaging through to find the hidden treasure of yesteryear... or this year ;)! Fun with a capital F!! Another thing I could do all day long!

7. History. (I promise Donna, I am not making this up!!) I love history with a passion! Old buildings, old photos, old homes, old dress patterns, old jewellry, old crockery, old movies - I am fascinated by anything that has lived a full life long before I was born and has a story to tell. And most things do.

8. Romantic evenings with my darling hubby. I don't care where we are, but being married to a baker who spent the first 20 years of our married life working nights in front of a hot oven has totally made me appreciate every single evening I spend with my hubby, whether we are just watching an old movie together or we are painting the town red...

9. Blogging. I love the blogging world!

I love that with the stroke of a key I can be in a friend's kitchen in America sharing a recipe,

or in a friend's backyard in Queensland watching them re-design their patio.

I love the ladies I have met, and the friends I have made,

I love that I can see what is happening at Quilt Market without having to spend $3000 on a ticket.

I love the kindess of the human heart, when a sweet sewer from Brazil sends me her embroidery designs, for free.

I love that the blogging world allows me to walk around this big, wide world every day, learning, creating and being blessed!

10. My Lord. ... For God so love the world (me!), that he gave His only begotten Son (Jesus), that whosoever believes in Him (I do!) shall have everlasting life! (Yippee!)

... now that makes me a very happy girl :)!
