a few photos....

We had The Songstress's 21st birthday party this past weekend.
I am waiting to get some of the better photos to share with you all.

It was a wonderful night, she had a ball and enjoyed all her time with her friends and family..

Till I get some better pics, please enjoy this cuppycake, it was one of the ones that I made for the night ;)!

Am waiting on my Bells to arrive from America so I can finish my orders so I have been working a little more on my Midwest Moderns Quilt.

Problem is, every time I walk out the room a certain 'Mr Garfield' snuggles up in the fabric and makes himself at home!

And now Mr Derrick has joined him!!

How rude!, stealing someones quilt before it is even on the bed!!!

I made a little collage of The Princess, she is three months old already!!
oh. my. gosh. time is just moving too fast.
She is such a smiley girl!!

Big hugs,

Mr Deekie Belle has hung my shabby plate rack that The Rock Star made me, up in my studio! I took it down from the dining room wall when I got my new buffet cabinet and have been missing it so much!

It is so pretty!

It has given me more shelf space too!

playing with my camera..

I have been enjoying my new camera since before Christmas but I have to admit I am still struggling with all the buttons and bows on it..

I have been itching to take one of these classes by Sharon and was delighted to see that she is now offering them online! I will be signing up for the next one for sure :)!!

Until then, I shall play and enjoy and remain frustrated!

...at least Mr Deekie Belle's exquisite taste has given me lots of pretties to practice on !

ahhh Guerlain, how do I love thee, let me count the ways .....

(photoshopped using black and white focal)

and a new edition to my scents ...the beautiful No 5!

The Ode to the Anzac

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Grandbug number 3, she's here!!!!

The Songbird and her hubby gave birth to a beautiful little girl yesterday!

She took a long time to come but she is perfect in every way.
She weighed in at 7lb 3 oz.

I was there with them for the birth and have to say,
it was amazing,
The singer did so well, ....I am so proud of her!
so without furter adieu....
Please meet The Princess ...

She looks a little grumpy here but I think was just a bit fed up with Nana and her camera!!

Cousin Bunny seems to love her, she keeps reaching out for a cuddle,

But The bug is not interested... he is at that age ;)!
Here he is with Aunty Songbird just before she went to give birth! As usual at the moment, he doesn't like having his photo taken and when I try and get him to smile he just looks right past me LOL!!

The bug and The bunny are just loving their swingset they got for christmas,
I am sure they would both be on it all day and night if they could!!

finally a smile from the bug ;)!

and now fire...

Over the weekend we had terrible bushfires here in Perth,

Our home was completely surrounded by black smoke which has finally died down.

65 perth families lost their homes.

Except for some major black smoke which seemed to permeate our home, we are fine...
But my heart is so heavy.
We seem to be having one disaster after another here in Australia...
Again, I ask you to pray.
Hopefully I will be back with some better news soon.

Please pray !

As I sit writing this I am beyond distraught.

Cyclone Yasi, a level 5 cyclone with winds of up to 290kph, is causing complete destruction in the beautiful state of Queensland, Australia.

We have been watching for the past week as this cyclone has gotten closer and closer to our beloved country.

And now it is here..

First the floods in Queensland, and now this...

I don't know what else to do but pray, and ask you all to please pray.

Thank you.

Birthdays and babies ...and Jingle Sax too!

I had my birthday back on the 5th of January and wanted to share some of my lovely pressies with you!

Our kids all put together and got me a gorgeous china cabinet that goes so well with my dining suite!

It was another purchase from Gumtree, our online Australian second hand market.. (just lovin' the Gumtree!)
I had so much fun putting all my crystal and china in it - I didn't realise I had collected so much over the years!

...And my darling Mr Deekie Belle bought me a gorgeous new chandelier to finish off the dining room, I just loooooooove it!!!

Here is a photo of it with the lights turned off so you can get a better idea of the gorgeous toll leaves and flowers!
He got it from a shop on ebay :)!
Let me know if you want the link...
....................................

The Songstress and her hubby only have 2 weeks until their baby girl is due,
We are sooooo excited!! .....and they are sooo cute!

Isn't our little girl glowing!!

...................................

I wanted to share my new design Jingle Sax with you!

Here are two that I made for two precious little customers in England...

...............................
Before I go, I wanted to ask for prayers for the people of Australia.
Our little country has taken such a battering this month,
I am sure you have all heard on the news of the devastating floods in Queensland that have destroyed whole towns, thousands of people lost their homes and belongings and worse, many lost their lives..
Then later that week there were fires that destroyed homes and properties just south of us here in Perth. It was the result of an arsonist..
Then over the past weekend we battened down for a cyclone that was headed towards Perth and the southwest. It seemed to bypass those of us in the city, but there was widespread damage in a few inland rural towns.... Many lost their homes and properties..
Tonight their is another huge cyclone bearing down on Queensland...
Many people have been evaculated, but we are yet to see what destruction this latest one will bring...
If you are someone who prays, then please pray,
and if you don't pray, then please pray anyway!
I know God is listening!
Thanks, and big hugs,

Photobucket

wow...

This was to be a post of all the things that have been happening around here...

of how busy and stressful life has been,

how much has been going on and how overwhelmed I have been..

But then I went to visit the blog of the gorgeous Richele

and watched the clip below...

Now I have taken a deep breath and decided to go outside,
water my garden and watch the sun go down,
..and to pray,
and give thanks
for health and healing,
for family and friends,
and for safety from the cyclone (the literal cyclone!)
and to ask the Lord to help me slow down.

Then I shall buy the book ;)!
Back in a couple of hours!
Hugs,
